
Combining our backgrounds in Citation, King Air, LearJet, and IAI/Westwind/Gulfstream airframes gives us the opportunity to offer services ranging from oil and filter changes to annual inspections to scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance on a large variety of turbine aircraft.
Avion Aero is owned by Sho Kassam and Justin Covalt. We are located at PWA Wiley Post Airport in Bethany, Oklahoma. Avion Aero is Oklahoma’s only Astra, Beechcraft, Cessna, Cirrus, Diamond, and Piper aircraft specialized maintenance facility.

Justin Covalt
Director of Maintenance
Justin’s goal is to ensure the highest quality of aircraft maintenance.

Justin understands that safety is of the utmost importance to our clients and excels in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft.
Prior to joining Avion Aero, Justin was with Textron Aviation Company for almost 20 years. He has Flight Safety International certifications in Cessna Citation and Beechcraft King Air airframes. Justin is also factory trained in Cirrus and Diamond Aircraft. Justin holds an FAA Airframe and PowerPlant license and Inspection Authorization (I.A.). A native of Oklahoma and a private pilot, he loves to fly his Cessna 210 when he is not turning wrenches.

In 1995 he became Head Buyer and Director of Material Control for Aviation Services Unlimited, then keeping that title when Avion Aero began in 2019. Over the past 26 plus years, he has generated a lot of contacts around the world for buying parts for corporate aircraft. Laine resides in Yukon, Oklahoma with his wife Lori. They have a daughter, Chelsea, and a son, Brady.

Paul Acuna
Lead Technician
Paul has had hands-on work experience and training in the field since 2010.
Read MorePaul Acuna is the proud father of four daughters. He was born in San Antonio TX, where he attended grade school and moved to Dallas Ft. Worth area for a few years with his mother and three siblings. He moved to Oklahoma in 1995 where he attended and graduated from Yukon HS and Canadian Valley Technology Diesel Technology. He began working as a Diesel Mechanic from High School until 2010 when he had the opportunity to work in aviation. He started with Oklahoma Jet Support where he received most of his hands-on work experience and training in the field on the Westwind, Westwind I, Westwind II, G100, Astra and SPX.
In 2018, Oklahoma Jet Support exchanged hands to its current ownership where his aviation experience has widened into the scope of Cessna Jet Business class. Paul feels he has had the pleasure of working with this excellent company and its management that has envisioned and put together a great team to work with, each that is knowledgeable and dedicated.

Barry Reynolds

Read MoreBarry is a Dual Centennial Citizen of Oklahoma, meaning that both sides of his family have been here before statehood. Barry has been around aviation maintenance his whole life as his dad was also in the aviation industry. Barry recalls taking his first airplane ride at the age of five in a red Tri-Pacer off of a sod strip east of Union City. He started working full-time in aviation maintenance in 1983, receiving his A&P license in 1987. He has experience in multiple airframes; from corporate jets and turboprops to privately owned single engines, twins, and helicopters, and home builds to L39’s. The one thing they all have in common; safety of flight is #1.

Robert Miller
Lead A&P Mechanic
Robert Miller has been in the aviation maintenance field for over 18 years.

Robert is a native Oklahoman, having graduated from Putnam City North High School. In addition to his time spent servicing aircraft in Oklahoma, he also spent 5 years overseas doing contract work in Italy, Africa, and Afghanistan. In his free time, Robert enjoys woodworking and spending time with his amazing wife, 3 children, and two dogs.

Heather handles all of the administrative duties and financial matters of Avion Aero.

A native Oklahoman, she has been married over 21 years, has two children, several family pets, and a passion for thrifting, and collecting candles.
